Build relationships at a bible study There are so many of our brothers and sisters or soon-to-be brothers and sisters that have no way of having an in-person bible study unless someone comes to them. Drivers for summer session classes Many students have no reasonable way to attend classes at Water for Ishmael due to lack of transportation. We can use drivers to help students attend classes that can help them as they seek skills to become successful.
Serve WFI’s Elementary age kids this summer During Water for Ishmael’s summer session of classes there are many elementary-aged students who come with their parents. WFI welcomes them with a fun summer program at which we can serve and support.

The Toledo International Hospitality Program (TIHP) is an opportunity for Toledo individuals and families to develop a cross-cultural friendship with some international students and do something fun with them once a month for one year. Families are matched with students in August, September, and January.
The Household Items Giveaway provides furniture and household items, in the name of Jesus, to newly arriving international students from around the world. We can use drivers with trucks who can be that first, friendly face of Jesus to these students, or can help to pick up furniture that others would like to donate to the ministry.

Summer babies Sewing group meets to make receiving blankets for the Pregnancy Center of Greater Toledo. The blankets are given to moms when they have a positive pregnancy test. Participants bring their sewing machine, tools, and donate 1-yard pieces of flannel and cotton. Some fabric will also be available for those who don’t have fabric to donate. We meet the following Tuesdays from 1-4pm in the Westgate Atrium: June 24, July 8, July 22. August 5 is our marathon, 10-4pm. Join us!
