Westgate partners with the Christian and Missionary Alliance team that lives and serves in Waren, Northeast Germany.

Each February, our partners (the Careys) are invited to host a day camp at two public schools for 60-90 first through fourth grade German kids interested in learning English while they are on Winter Break. Although their primary focus for the week will be playing and learning in English, they too will spend the week rubbing shoulders with Spirit-filled members of the body of Christ and connecting with the local International Workers and Church members in the Waren community.

English Day Camp Dates: February 9-13, 2026

Team Travel Dates: Team would need to be on the ground by Thursday, February 5th and book return flights Sunday, February 15th or later.

We are looking to gather a team of 10 adults (age 18+) to join the NE Germany team! Our goal is to have our team finalized by September 1.

Camp Team Roles:

·        2 English Teachers - must be willing to plan lessons but no formal education expected

·        2 Craft Teachers

·        1 Music Teacher

·       1-2 Sports Teachers/Assistant

·        1-2 Floater/Photographer

·        1-2 Cooks - prepare breakfast and dinners for all our American staff (~30 people) during camp week as well as the weekend prior

Cost: Teammates will need to fundraise ~$2,000-2200 per person (final number will come once flights are purchased). Teammates are asked to personally pay the first $100 and pay for their own passport.
